I am sooo excited to finally blog my first wedding of this year. Some of you guys already had a peek at some of the photos on my facebook page a couple days ago, here are a couple more from the set! Thank you so much for all the comments! :o)
As some of you know already, I had the big honor to travel out of State to document Rebekah’s & Mike’s beautiful wedding in ALABAMA.
Well, the wedding was beautiful, I loved, loved, loved Rebekah’s dress. Everything looked so pretty, but you’ll just have to see for yourself :o)
This was also my first wedding where I had a professional Saber Arch on board, you guys were awesome – what a fun group! :o) Military families have my deepest respect. It’s hard to imagine the sacrifices that you and your families make! Leaving your love and child(ren) home / or seeing your husband leave must be the most difficult thing ever!
Rebekah & Mike held their ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church and partied all night at the pretty Indian Hills Country Club in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Ok, ok .. I’ll stop rambling. Rebekah & Mike, here you go: :o)
Oh – and I have to ad a little side note … I tried a new processing style, hope you like it :o)

Rebekah had the ring of her great grandma (who got married 100 years ago, on July 12 1911!) with her the day of the wedding. How cool is that?
Love this shot, with the dress in the background … the light is so yummy!
It doesn’t happen often that I come across a tradition that I haven’t seen before, BUT I have to say, this one is really cute! It includes the lill bonnet Mike wore when he came home from the hospital as a baby. The tradition says that the bonnet is to be carefully packed away after the baby comes home until the child marries. Once the big day is here, one has to simply snip a few threads and the baby bonnet becomes a wedding handkerchief, carried by a lovely bride either the original baby girl, now all grown up, or the wife-to-be of the baby boy.
The pretty bride!
Look at that gooorgeous dress!!!
Oh do I love that shot! I wish all reception venues would have an open staircase like this!
One of my favorites!
Meet the groom, Captain Mike O’D:
Rebekah & Mike decided to have their photos taken before the ceremony (as the photographer seems to be a bit insistent on shooting while the sun is up, haha), so I took a couple photos of their first peek at each other. Cute! :o)
Love this one!
… and this one … aw, I love so many from this set!
One of my (many) favorites:
Aren’t they just adorable??
Bridal Party! First up the guys! (should I ad that Mike is one out of TEN???) I think that explains things, haha! He had SEVEN groomsmen … and EIGHT other attendants from the army. You don’t want to mess with this guy, haha! …
… though gotta say, they were all super nice and lots and lots of fun!
Yup, an OTHER favorite of mine! :o) One of the Saber Arch
Told you, this was a HUGE crowd!! 26 + flower girls & ring bearers! It *might* actually be the biggest bridal party I ever shot! WOWZERS!
And tell me .. don’t you just LOVE the bridesmaid’s dresses?? They were custom designed by Leona, just for this wedding. You should check out her / their blog, they have beautiful designs on there!
I looks like Rebekah’s bridesmaids dresses came in 3 versions, picking up the ruffle-design of Rebekah’s dress. LOVE THEM!
How adorable is this? The ring bearer saluted Mike once he walked down the aisle!!! It doesn’t get more A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!
Unfortunately I wasn’t allowed in the front part of the church, so I had to shoot from the back
Rebekah & Mike had grooms & brides cupcakes and a wedding cake, that incorporated the design of the bridesmaid’s dresses. PRETTY!
I have a feeling my little photos won’t do the dancers / party justice as you really need to see it in big, but it will give you a tasty taste until the gallery is online :o)
I love this photo:
… and I looove this one:
Well, what should I say? It was a fun, fun wedding! I hope you, Rebekah & Mike enjoyed your little preview, the gallery will be online shortly!
