Melissa & John | Castle in the Clouds

Yay! It’s finally time for a little sneak peek again. :o)

Melissa & John got married at the gorgeous Castle in the Clouds (NH) last weekend. I am not sure if the view could have been any better. The Mountain Range has a breathtaking vista of Lake Winnipesaukee  & is surrounded by mountains. Just beautiful, and a perfect spot for an outdoors wedding :o)

Melissa & John, your wedding was filled with so much laughter and happy-tears (boy, I hope nobody saw the photographer tearing up, haha!) and it was a huge pleasure to work with you on your beautiful day, thanks so much for sharing it with us :o)

Here’s your sneak peek:

Just one quick pic of the view, did I promise too much?

And I told you about alllllll the tears … :o) … and …

… and laughs! :oD

and that’s a pic of a VERY happy couple! :o)

Thanks to my fabulous 2nd photographer, Geneve

Alyssa & Adam | Plymouth Yacht Club

Alyssa & Adam, I can’t believe how time flies, I remember when we had our interview not too long ago, and you were telling me about your wonderful wedding plans! :o) I was already looking forward to your wedding for a while, I love weddings at the water … and when you told me about the VW bug you’re planning to take to the church, I couldn’t wait to see it!! :o) Haha! I LOVE old cars, and your grandpa’s VW was the cutest little thing!! :o) I hope you will have a fabulous time on your honeymoon, thought I would share some photos before you head out :o)

Alyssa & Adam celebrated their ceremony at the Chiltonville Congregational Church and held their reception at the fun Plymouth Yacht Club.

Hope you enjoy the pics :o)

Thanks so much for joining me, Geneve, it was as always a lot of fun shooting with you :o)

Irene & George | Boston Harbor Hotel

This is it! My first wedding of my 2009 season! :o) I seriously couldn’t have wished for a better wedding! Beautiful couple, gorgeous wedding venue, fun bridal party … AND we missed the rain by a couple of hours, yay! :o) I was already looking forward to shooting this wedding for a couple of weeks, so here’s a *little* preview :o)

Irene & George celebrated their Amercian ceremony at the beautiful Boston Harbor Hotel. – I can’t express how much I love this hotel, it’s such a pretty place for a wedding, and it offers a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos :o) … A Boston Icon!

Irene & George. You got so many wonderful photos, I hope you’ll enjoy them for many, many years!! Irene, you looked like a Chinese princess in all your dresses, just beautiful! Thank you so much for letting us be part of your special day, and giving us so much time for the photos. I hope you had a fabulous time in Paris! ;o)

Trash the Dress! ~ Tori

Boy, was I looking forward to this shoot! The weather forecast told us that it will rain that day, and I was crossing alll my fingers that it wouldn’t and it turned out to be the most perfect day for a shoot on the MIT campus!

Tori, you loooked absolutely stunning! I loved your dress! Thanks so much for digging it out of the box again, can there be a better reason to wear your dress again? :o) Here are some of my favorites of the day:

Do you want to see more photos? Check out Geneve’s & Darcy’s take on the shoot :o)

Baby Kate • 1 year old! :o)

Remember Kate from Mary Beth & Michael’s wedding last year? :o) This little girl just turned 1 last weekend and we had a little baby shoot. Congrats Kate! I can’t believe you’ve grown so much, what a cutie pie you are! :o)

Leona & Dave • Engaged

Leona & Dave, you are truly one of the kindest couples I worked with. I had a blast at our engagement shoot, and loved all the locations we went to. Thanks so much for recommending the Butterfly Place in Westford, you guys must have gotten the coolest ring photo ever & I’m of course already looking forward to your wedding later this fall ;o)

Here is a little sneak peek into your set :o)

I like your hair piece, Dave!! Haha! :o)

Signs & Notte Sento

Aw, one of the cutest short films I’ve seen in a while :o)

And while you’re at it … :o)  :

Alexis & William • Engaged

I think I should do more engagement shoots on Beacon Hill, it’s such a beautiful & charming area!

Alexis, William & I took most of the photos on the Esplanade & Beacon Hill where the 2 lucky birds live. We even managed to sneak a photo on Acorn Street (who knew that it’s actually a private street, and nobody – except the locals – are allowed there?!). The little streets, stone sidewalks & cute entryways remind me a lot of my home town back in Switzerland … hmm, I think I need a vacation …

Thanks so much for a fun morning, you are a wonderful couple and I am already looking forward to your big day in pretty much exactly 1 year! Oh, and I will actually see you again in just a couple of weeks at Kara & Jacin’s wedding, yay! :o)

Sometimes you don’t know what the day will bring: Duncan & Sayaka

After I finished up an engagement session this morning, I decided to wander around the Public Garden and take some photos of the blooming trees. There were so many people enjoy the sun, and the warm weather, that it was not much of a surprise when I eventually bumped into a couple that wanted to have their photo taken. This time however it was different. :o)

I think as a wedding photographer you develop this certain love for people in love and I could just tell how happy Duncan & Sayaka were, so I asked them if they would want to have some pics taken with my camera (besides – I am not good with point & shoot cameras, haha! So I though I would make it up  for the bad photo they just got and email them a pic from my camera instead) … well, it turned into a 10 minute photoshoot (which wedding photographer can resist a good looking couple that is just so in love??). You guys are SUCH a wonderful couple!!! I hope you had a nice, romantic stay here in Boston.

I wish both of you all the best and who knows maybe I’ll come and visit you one day in NY! Thanks so much for being so spontaneous, seriously … you guys are a perfect match and I wish you a wonderful future together! :o)

UPDATE! (I just got an email from Duncan & Sayaka) They got engaged later that day!! I can not express in words how happy I am for you guys! You seriously just made my day …. ok, week … most likely even year!! This is probably the most random, and cutest story I’ve ever been involved in … by chance! :o)

A Day on the Beach – Ayden, Mariko, Andrew & Nicholas, Paige

I have honestly troubles deciding which photos to post from this little group-family session. :o) There are SO many fun ones, that I’m afraid it will be a looong photo post ;o)You guys were a blast to photograph!

I hope you’ll enjoy my “little” selection :o) I am so happy spring is finaly here, I think I even got a little tan while out shooting that day, haha!

Alexis & Robert • Engaged

This was my first beach engagement session of the year, ahhh spring / summer, here we come :o).

Alexis & Robert, thanks so much for letting me shoot your engagement photos. You were such a joy to photograph. We got tons of photos, boy … haha I can’t wait to share the rest with you soon! I hope you guys have a wonderful wedding!!

Here are some of my favorites from our session, enjoy :o)

Love, love, love this shot:

Irene & George • Engaged

I just received Irene & George’s engagement album order, and while I was looking through their photos I spotted this beauty of  shot … thought I would share, since I don’t think I posted this photo before (taken last year) :o)

Can’t wait to shoot your wedding in a bit more than a month (how time flies … wow) at the gorgeous Boston Harbor Hotel!! Yay!

Kathryn & Nicholas • Engaged

I am not sure if this could have been a nicer spring day for an engagement session!! Maybe the warm weather will come after all, who would have guessed! :o)

Kathryn & Nicholas, I had so much fun, you were such a wonderful & spontaneous couple to work with, and I can’t WAIT to shoot your wedding this fall at the Lighthouse Inn!!!!! :o) Thank you for a fun, funny & sunny session, I am already looking forward to sharing the rest of the pics with you! :o)

Photos were taken in the gorgeous sculpture garden of the DeCordova Museum.

I am in love with the shark installation (by Kitty Wales). Here’s an other take on it:

Introducing: Beautiful Wedding Websites

Since I started shooting weddings I’ve always included customized wedding websites with all of packages as I think it’s not only super convenient, but it’s also a great way to show off your wedding and keep your guests informed. :o)

I do not believe in any online sites where youhave to sign up an create your own website. Let’s be honest, they’ll just make you pay a yearly fee, you’ll end up swimming in spam and you’ll get ads in every single corner. This year we not only added templates, but also added new yummy features! You will be in charge of your own website, you will not have to send me any updates anymore, it’s super easy, you just need to log-in, you can choose from 7 templates, ad an online RSVP page, or a guest book, ad any information about your registries, directions or anything else you would like to share with your guests, and the best thing is it doesn’t cost you a thing, no spam and we’ll save some trees with thinner save the date envelopes ;o)

Click here, and have a look at our sample wedding website.

Baby Fiona • 4 months old

Remember this little girl? :o) I had the pleasure to visit the little (now 4 months old) sweetie pie again. Isn’t it just crazy how fast they grow?

Zandra & Jesse

Tim and I did a little trip out West for a couple of days and visited some really good old friends of ours. …  Jesse & Zee were actually partially the reason why I became a wedding photographer. :o)

Jesse & Zee were my VERY FIRST wedding couple. They got married in a gorgeous castle in Fjälkinge, Sweden a couple of years ago. It was just one of the most beautiful weddings I attended as a friend & photographer, and it was a huge honor you guys had so much faith in my skills … haha … it was a scary, but HUGE honor at the same time! :o)

It was wonderful (and so much fun!!) visiting you guys in San Francisco – uhm, I’m already planning my move out there, haha …. ! :o)

And Zee …, I know you’ll be a famous interior designer one day!!!! :o)

one more:

Do you recognize this photo? :o) Yup, that’s Zandra & Jesse :o)
