Theona & Tony | Tower Hill, Botanic Garden

Theona, Tony & I have a bit of a history together. I photographed Tony’s sister’s wedding back in 2007 (boy, has it already been 2 years???). I think only a couple of weeks after Nicole’s & Jeb’s beautiful wedding I got a lovely email from Theona, and I was hoping it was the girl that I remembered dancing that whole night. Haha :o)

Then, last summer we had an awesome engagement session, and I already knew then that their wedding will be a LOT of fun to photograph, they’re just one of the sweetest, most caring couples. In addition to all that Theona is also a model, so what better bride to have? :o) Even the Bride & Groom Magazine was all over their engagement photos and they ended up on the cover of this season’s issue! How cool is that?

Theona & Tony celebrated both their outdoor ceremony & their reception at the beautiful Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston.

Thank you for sharing your very special day with us. Everything looked incredibly pretty (I loved everything, from the bouquets, place cards to the favors) we just had a blast the whole day!

My very best wishes for a wonderful future together … hope you guys are enjoying the Bahaaaaaaamas! :o)

Mahalo :o)

Both moms having a peek:  :o)

Aren’t the flowers pretty? I love the colors!

Yup, she’s a beauty.

Theona & Tony decided to do their posed photos before the ceremony, so we picked a pretty spot on the grounds where they would see each other for the first time.

There was no peeking allowed, haha … Theona was running to her groom :o) …

… and had the biiiigest smile when he turned around :o) Sooo cute!!! I love you guys, you are such a wonderful couple!

I could just keep going with photos of the 2 of them, but I guess this is just supposed to be a sneak peek ;o)

I love getting those wide angle ceremony shots. Nobody really ever gets to enjoy the overall picture the day off. This one is especially pretty, what a backdrop!

The perfect couple even gets a perfect ring shot:  :o)

Theona & Tony released butterflies. They were allll over the place, unfortunately you don’t see them unless you zoom into the photo, but here are a couple shots:

It was sooo nice seeing the Scola family again & meeting the Hardwoods :o) The photo on the right is for the good old times :o)

I did some archive digging ;o) Here are just a couple of Nicole & Jeb’s wedding, 2 years ago :o)

Since Theona’s mom’s side is from Hawai’i one of the aunts performed a Hawaiian dance for them:

Baby Caroline • 2 weeks old!

My neighbors just recently got a baby girl and I worked my magic and talked them into visiting me for a little baby shoot :o)

Caroline was such a sweetie pie. It doesn’t happen very often that I get to photograph a sleeping baby. Some time after about half an hour they usually give me the stink eye about pointing my big camera at them, haha, but Caroline was such a trooper and just a cute little, sleeping angel!

Congrats Matthew & Nicole!!! :o)

This one belongs on the wall, my favorite :o)

Just checking the situation … yup, the lady with the camera is still here … ;o)

Look at those tiny little baby feet!!! :o)

Sleepy little baby :o)

… still sleeping :o)

Marcie & Nate • Engaged

I am finally catching up again with my posts. :o) My engagement photo season is finally started, I always enjoy those shoots because they are so relaxed and one doesn’t feel rushed. AND having a really fun & handsome couple to shoot is like winning the lottery ;o)

Marcie & Nate, I had so much fun with you (despite the VERY sticky weather … I don’t even think it shows in the photos). Haha! You guys will make a wedding photographer very happy! :o) I hope you have a beautiful wedding next year and I wish you a wonderful future together! :o)

I’ll start and finish with 2 of my favorites from the day :o)  :

Meredith & Sam | Museum of Science … or … A Night in the Museum :o)

Meredith & Sam, you guys are the best. Your wedding was so much fun, there is no way this little sneak peek preview will do your day any justice. In addition to that I am only half way through your set, so there are more ceremony + reception photos to come.

Meredith & Sam held their ceremony & reception in the skyline room in the Museum of Science in downtown Boston. I have to say, the Skyline Room is a real gem, the view you get form there over the whole city is priceless, especially at night when all the lights go on!

They gave us *so* much time for the photos, so we had the opportunity to go to all sorts of fun places to take them. Thanks so much for that. It was really hard choosing only a few for this post … you guys got TONS, I mean … TONS more!!!

You guys are just a wonderful, funny & loving couple. I wish you both the very best and hope you’ll enjoy this post :o)

A special thanks to my fabulous 2nd shooter Geneve!! :o)

Meredith & Sam decided to do the posed photos before their ceremony, so we found a nice little spot at the Royal Sonesta where they would see each other for the first time:

Meredith & Sam had a truly awesome wedding party … :o)

Did I mention how awesome they all were?

They were up for anything. Our take on Abbey Road :o)

And then we went to the Museum of Science and took even more photos … I think some of them had flashbacks to the good old times :o)

And a few ceremony pics from the Skyline Room:

They had the nicest details. Meredith is in the astronomy field / and the room was the Skyline Room …. so lots, and lots of personal touches :o)

I especially liked your signing board & the table “numbers”. Perfect!!

Yup, that was the view!!! Where else in Boston do you get that??

More photos to come …

Tara & Clay • Engaged! … and almost married :)

Tara & Clay, you guys are truly one of the cutest couples I’ve had in front of my camera! Thanks so much for having me over for a little Cape-Cod photo date out in the nature :o)

I know you’ve been waiting for this sneakedy peek for a while … I think I included a couple more in this post than I emailed you earlier this week, so I hope you’ll enjoy.

I hope you guys have a beautiful wedding later this summer, you’ll have to share some of your pics, I’m dyyyyying to see them :o)

Tara  & Clay surprised me with a little picnic basket filled with Champagne and scrabble. Sooooo cute!!!! :o)

and one pic with a little special post processing, just for fun :o)

It’s official :o(

I have no internet. It’s killing me :o(

So if you’re waiting for an email from me, or for any slide shows / online galleries / album drafts / photo orders / blog posts, please be patient. I am really sorry for the current delays. We ordered a new router, I hope it will arrive soon,  but until then I will just be able to check my email through my phone and not be able to upload anything.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Emily & Jeff | Easton’s Beach Rotunda Ballroom, Newport

Finally! I had some catching up to do this weekend. My internet decided to die on me, so this post was on my to-do list for way too long.

Last weekend we photographed Emily’s & Jeff’s beautiful wedding in Newport. They held their ceremony right on the beach and had their party at the Easton’s Beach Rotunda.

Emily I looooved your dress, it looked perfect on you, and I love all the little details you guys had! I know you’ve been waiting for these post for a while, but how is this as a sneak peek? :o)

I hope you guys had a fab time in England and Scotland!

Can I start off with some of my favorite prep photos? Here’s Emily, the beautiful bride:

A little shadow play :o)

Married! :o)

I totally planned to have the bird fly into my shot!! Haha ;o)

Love the next two:

Hm, probably my favorite of the day, should hang on a wall:

… and when you get married at the Rotunda, you have to take a carousel photo. Definitely something for my portfolio. :o)

Have I mentioned lately how much I like up-lighting? Love it! :o)

Thanks for joining me Lori! :o)

When I say there is no bigger reward for me than getting a nice message from the couple once they’ve seen some of their photos I really mean it. This is what it’s all about!

Emily, I hope you don’t mind that I post this, thank you *so* much for your lovely note!! :o)

Agnieszka,

What can we say? We love them. Absolutely love them. We will cherish these photos forever which makes you an important person in the timeline of our life together. We’ll show people these pictures and they’ll say “Your photographer was great!” and we’ll think of you. So for that, thank you.

I’m jumping out of my skin to see the rest!! Stalking the mail tomorrow.

Emily

Oh Yay! Emily & Jeff got published in the Newport Wedding Magazine!

If you want to read more & see some more of their photos, click HERE. They are alllll over the magazine, so check it out :o)

Anne & David | Hellenic Center

I love outdoor ceremonies & the Hellenic Center is such a beautiful spot for a wedding. Historic New England Estates just have a certain charm :o)

Anne & David had a short & sweet ceremony in the gardens of the Hellenic Center in Ipswich, followed by a fun reception in the inside of the mansion. They had a faaaabulous band playing all night, and all the guests had TONS of fun!

If anybody is looking for some professional dancers / dancefloor entertainers, they should definitely give David a call. I think 2 of his groomsmen win the this year’s best-dancers in action award (I wish I would have had a video camera, haha!) :o)

Hope you guys are enjoying Antiguaaaaaa :o)

David had the biggest smile when he saw Anne :o)

What a beautiful spot for a outdoor ceremony! Love the tree right behind them.

Anne & David had an awesome band (Boston Common) that was playing the whole night. They also came in with some special lights which made the whole room pop! Very cool :o)

And I have to say the band ROCKED!!

Doesn’t that uplighting just scream FUN? Thought since I can’t share the music the band played that night, I could at least post a couple more reception shots than I usually do :o)

Thanks to my fabulous 2nd photographer, Geneve

Band: Boston Common

Photo Love: Alexis & Kevin

I hope you don’t mind me posting this, Alexis. You made my day!!  :o)

Agnieszka, I don’t even have words for how beautiful the pictures came out. I’m still not through them all yet. You are so talented. You captured the best day of our lives in the most gorgeous way and we will have it forever. I can’t wait to start working on the album. We just got back from our relaxing honeymoon so I’m trying to organize everything and all I want to do is look at the pictures, ha ha! Anyway,  I will be in touch soon. Thank you so much for everything!!! Alexis

Alexis & Kevin | Cataumet

Oh, I was waiting to post this wedding on my blog, what a woooonderful wedding you guys had! I hope you enjoy the “teasers”. I have a feeling I posted *way* too many photos, haha, but you got so many pretty shots, I could not even choose a favorite this time! Thanks for all the time you gave us for the posed photos & I hope you’re having a great time in the Dominican Republic!!! :o)

Alexis & Kevin celebrated their ceremony & reception at Alexis’ grandma’s house in Cataumet, on the Cape.

I couldn’t resist posting this pic. It was a shoot I took in between poses. Isn’t Alexis just such a natural beauty?

How’s this as a group shot?? Haha!!

Love the ghosty table cloth in this one :o)

Thanks for joing me Miss Geneve :o)

Baby Braydon • 9 months old

The most beautiful thing about being a wedding photographer is seeing a family grow :o) I had the great pleasure meeting lill’ Braydon last weekend, who is the cute little baby son of Sarah & Tim who’s wedding I shot back in 2007 (boy, how time flies!!). Braydon was *such* a doll during the photo shoot, … and Tim & Sarah, I do not know how you will *ever* resist those eyes & his innocent look!! He will be a real charmer :o)

and just a couple from your gorgeous wedding at the Popponesset Inn 2 years ago :o)

Happy-almost-anniversary :o)

Karen & Andrew | Moosehill Orchard

I love how I get to travel for my weddings, even if it wasn’t very far this time, it was fun to get out of the city for once. :o) This time we got to photograph a gorgeous wedding in an apple orchard in NH. I will not mention the weather forecasts anymore, haha … you’ll see the scary clouds later int he post, BUT we did make it through the photos without any raindrops, so … YAY!

Karen & Andrew flew alllll the way from the other side of the world to celebrate their wedding in Karen’s hometown in NH. They celebrated their ceremony (which was performed by Karen’s mom) in the family’s orchard, … and held their party at Karen’s home.

Thanks so much for letting us be part of your beautiful event! Here’s your little sneak peek :o)

A sneak peek photo of their car:

I swear I didn’t touch up the clouds in photoshop, this is how it looked …

And some pics with their cool chevy!

And my favorite from the day :o)  :

Thanks for joining me, Geneve

Heather & Derek | Brookside Club

Heather & Derek, I was already looking forward to your wedding since our engagement session last year! I have no words, you guys had just such a perfect day, and everything looked like straight out of a magazine! You put so much thought into every detail and your families were so warm & welcoming. Thank you *so* much for letting me / us be part of your big day!!

Heather & Derek celebrated their ceremony in the light filled Christ The King Parish in Mashpee, and had their reception at the Brookside Club in Bourne.

I hope you’re having a fabulous time in JAMAICA, enjoy your little sneak peek :o)

I don’t know what you were whispering to Heather .. haha, but Derek,  you sure look innocent!! :o)

Oh yeah, did I mention that it was supposed to rain that day??

Have I told you how much your car rocked??? Awesomeness!

Yiiikes. I thought I was done posting pics of this beeeautiful wedding, but Heather & Derek, guess what … I have a couple more for you guys :o)

Heather, I hope you don’t mind me posting your reaction to this photos, YOU MADE MY DAY!! :o)

I think from now on, you guys will have to renew your vowels every year, haha!!

From Heather & Derek:

Greetings from Jamaica!!!!

Amanda & Eric | Fruitlands Museum

So. I think I’ll give it up with my hopes to get any nice weather this summer. I don’t know why the weather report is messing with me and all my wedding couples this season :o(

Amanda & Eric celebrated their beautiful outdoor (!) ceremony & reception at the Fruitlands Museum in Harvard. LUCKILY we got only a few raindrops during the ceremony, and the clouds moved away after just a few minutes! To be sure that we got photos in this gorgeous setting, we decided to take *some* posed photos before the ceremony, but since it cleared up afterward we were able to get a few more photos and ended up with a huge set.

Amanda & Eric. I hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon in NH (with hopefully no rain!?) … Here’s a little sneak peek. Enjoy :o)

I thought this sculpture couldn’t have been more fitting … looking out in the cloudy sky …:

I just love this photo. The happy groom:

I love the photos we got in the tall grass, it’s hard to pic a favorite. But I think this one might be the one :o)

Our cute little competition:

As I said, it started raining during the ceremony. The clouds sure made a dramatic entrance, but luckily passed after just a few rain drops …

Thanks for joining me Mrs. Geneve :o)

Natalie & Nevin | Museum of Science

Natalie & Nevin I hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon in Turkey! :o) I just wanted to send you a little sneak peek to your wonderful set, I hope you’ll enjoy the photos :o)

I still can’t believe we lucked out with the weather … again!! What is it just with this summer?? :o( BUT I told you, if the sky is a bit overcast, it’s actually even better (for the photographer anyway, haha), so we ended up having the most delicious, even light for the photos and it showed!

Thank you soooo much for letting us be part of your special day!

Natalie & Nevin celebrated their elegant ceremony & reception at the Museum of Science in Boston.

I love the pose at the window, but this one is exceptionally beautiful! Like out of a magazine!

Nevin insisted on being in all the photos … haha … sort of ;o)

2 cool dudes ring bearers :o)  :

As I said .. we had the most beautiful even light … no squinty eyes!! Love it!

… and some photos from the Blue Room at the Museum of Science, where Natalie & Nevin held their reception:

I sneaked that one from Lori, what a cool pic! :o)

And last but not least … a photo with the oldest wedding crasher / party animal *ever* :o)

Thanks for joining me Lori! :o)

Aikaterini & Athanacios | Jimmy’s Allenhurst

Sometimes you just know when the wedding will be a blast! I could not believe my eyes when I kept checking the weather report for Aikaterini & Athanacios’s wedding, it looked like we would get into some rain, but we lucked out! And as I keep telling … an overcast sky makes beautiful photos ++ you (well, ok the photographer) will not end up with squenty eyes ;o)

I love traveling, but since I don’t get to do that anymore due to my busy wedding season the next best thing are international weddings! I loooove photographing different traditions from different cultures … One of those days I’m planning to pack my backpack and disappear for a year, and have a weddings in every country I go to … one of those days I will do it.

Aikaterini & Athanacios held their Greek ceremony at St. George in Lynn, and celebrated their wedding at Jimmy’s Allenhurst in Danvers.

Doesn’t the flower girl look like a little angel in this pic?? :o)

How about a groomsmen / groom pic like that? Have I mentioned yet that Athanacios submitted a pic from our engagement shoot, and got a suite / model job at Macy’s?? How cool is that??

Love that group shot! Like from a magazine!

I think this one is my favorite of the day, but it’s a tough call:

Between poses …. haha!! Gottcha’ :

And this was probably the most beautiful sweetheart table I’ve ever seen. Katerina designed a sea of lower pedals that were hung up from the main chandelier, right above their table. Beautiful!

Oh and yup! They had an ice-sculpture!! :o)

Let’s say Greeks know how to party! :o)

Aikaterini & Athanacios! I will miss chatting with you … Thanks for a fun wedding!

Thanks to my fab. 2nd shooter Geneve for joining me, I’m sure you guys will be all over our websites :o)

Kara & Jacin | Raffael’s

I am finally catching up with my posts, and I am sure everybody is waiting for the promised sneak peek … so here we go! :o) This weekend I had TWO fabulous weddings. An Italian, and a Greek affair! I loooove my job … and … I looooove Italy! In fact it’s one of my favorite places in Europe … no, in the whole WORLD (I am not kidding! I think I lived in Florence in my past life and am still waiting for my first destination wedding in Rome!!! How cool would that be??). When I used to live in Switzerland I had to go at least once a year down South, to get my Italian injection! So this year … you guys saved me a trip!! :o)

Kara & Jacin, you guys were a w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l couple to work with!!! I can’t believe how beautiful everything looked, and can’t even imagine how long it took to put your wedding together. And it’s official! You guys had the biggest wedding party I’ve ever photographed!!! I think you guys had 34 people, correct me if I’m wrong … and that’s just counting the: 13 bridesmaids, 1 junior brides maid, 4 flower girls, 12 groomsmen and 4 ring bearers (parents & Kara & Jacin not included) … WOW!!!

Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful day with us! We got an *insane* amount of photos, I’m not even half way through your set!! When I selected my top favorite (must-blog-photos) I ended up with 83 photos … you guys are getting me into trouble! Haha (oh boy!!) … I lowered the amount, but bear with me, this will be a long post …

Kara & Jacin celebrated their ceremony at the gorgeous Holy Name Parish in West Roxbury, and had a fun, Italian party at Raffael’s in Walpole! – Oh, and the pics were taken at the picturesque Larz Anderson Park in Brookline.

Definitely a wedding to remember. Thanks so much for sharing your day with us!!!

There are only a few things I would change about my own wedding, having an old timer is on the list!! How beautiful is this car?!??

This photo still cracks me up … I promise the groom survived – without a broken back :o)

Do you recognize this bridge? Yup, it’s the same spot where we took Kara & Jacin’s engagement photos :o)

Hmmmm, one of my favorite from the day:

I always take 2-3 “classic” poses, even though I don’t really usually post them. But this one came out *so* beautiful! You guys just have a perfect smile. Love it!

‘Gotcha, Jacin!!! :oD

What a beauty of a shot (if I may say so):

Yup, they had a little flight at the cake table, haha! That was one braaaaave groom :o)

And what would an Italian wedding be without a packed dance floor?

Thanks for joining me Miss Geneve :o)

Meet Emily • 2 weeks old!

I haven’t take any baby photos for a couple of weeks, so I was *really* excited to meet Emily. In addition to that I photographed Lisa & Jens’ wedding back in 2007, and there is nothing more exciting than seeing a family grow. :o)

Thank you so much for visiting me so shortly after Emily’s birth, I looooove taking photos of newborns and she was the absolutely cutest model ever!! :o)

And this is one of my very favorite baby photos EVER. Love it :o)

I can’t believe how beautiful she looks in this photo. Isn’t she adorable? :o)

Had to post that one to … haha … Here, she wasn’t very happy with me … haha … Modeling is a tough job ;o)

Calling all Weather Gods … or those who have connections …

I am not shooting one … I am shooting TWO weddings this weekend, and it looks like we’ll get some rain … :o(

So, send all your good thoughts our way. In case you have any connections to the weather gods, have a little anti-rain dance for us :o) Any help would be greatly appreciated :o)

Rain-rain-go-away!

Update: Thanks for all the good thoughts!! Yay! We actually lucked out, and managed to take all the pics outside – without any rain drops. Phew!! Stay tuned … I’ll post 2 woooooonderful wedddings in the next couple of days :o)

UPDATE: Thanks all for crossing your fingers! We actually ended up not getting into any rain – hurray!!! Uhm … but … can I ask you to cross your fingers again? This time for Natalie & Nevin (06/20/2009) … not looking good right now :o(

Thanks!
