Tara & John • Lakeview Pavilion

There it is! My first wedding of the season! :o) I have to admit, spring weddings make me somewhat nervous (and I won’t ven mention how winter weddings make me feel, haha), you never know how the weather will be and what to do, when the weather won’t cooperate? Not much one can really do, and you just have to hope the couple will make the best out of it. But luckily the weather Gods were with us this time (not like during Tara’s & John’s engagement shoot, haha), and booooy was it a gorgeous day! Filled with lots of love (spring was in the air after all) :o) and many, many hugs.

Tara & John, you guys are a truly wonderful couple – I hope you don’t mind me posting some funny outtakes, I just thought they belonged in your set, as you sure knew how to make everybody smile and have a good time :o)

Tara & John held their ceremony at the Unity Church of North Easton and had an awesome party at the beauuuutiful Lakeview Pavilion afterwards (you just can’t go wrong with this venue!).

Ready? Let’s start with some getting ready photos :o)

Found one of Tara’s old dolls in her old room :o)

Excuse all the ring photos, just loved it so much :o)

And check out the heart right in the middle! Never seen this cut before, how pretty!

Sweet Michelle from Demiche did such a wonderful job <3 An artist at work … She’s definitely THE hair and make-up artist you have to book!

Beautiful Tara, the bride. Look at those pretty eyes and beautiful smile! She told me she couldn’t stop smiling, and in deed she didn’t :o)

And Mr John, the groom :o)

:o))

Tara & John decided to do a first look (have their posed photos taken before the ceremony), so we wanted to make the first moment where they see each other for the first time that day special …

So, so sweet!

This one was taken by Geneve …. Sigh, soooo pretty!

Loooooved Tara’s color palette!

:o))

This little series cracks me up. I have a feeling John’s guys had a hard time to let him go :o))

Kinda a must-have photo … just won’t get old + I’m always SO happy if the bridal party is up for it :o)

The proud parents:

I really liked the park around the library where we took the first few photos, but I just KNEW we’d have to at least ask the property owner next to the church if we could take some photos in their BEAUTIFUL garden as soon as we pulled into the church parking lot. Luckily  Tara & John have an awesome maid of honor and best man that worked their magic and BOY do I loooove the next few photos! What a setting!! (Can you imagine owning such a gorgeous garden??!!) A big big thank you to the owner of the estate to let us shoot on their property!

There is just something about this photo … maybe it’s the spark in Tara’s eye? They look just so very happy!

Aaaaaah spring! What a beautiful, beautiful day!

Couldn’t decide which one to post …. so I’ll post them both :o)

Tara & John held their ceremony at the Unity Church of North Easton

After their ceremony we took some more quick photos at the Lakeview Pavilion before they were introduced for the first time as Mrs and Mr :o)

LOVE this photo :o)

Naaaaah, gorgeous!!

And this one makes my heart beat faster!! Perfect and sooo gorgeous!!

You just really can’t go wrong when you’re booking your reception at the Lakeview Pavilion, not only is everybody there just SUPER nice, but they just make your party ook sooooo awesome! I love their interior (think they just re-did it not too long ago), the drapes … the colors …. the furniture …. their outdoor space, it’s just PERFECT for a wedding.

Loved T &’s signing “board”, the guests “engrave” their wishes on a sheet of metal! How cool and unique! I have never seen this before – I’m sure it’ll look gorgeous on their wall too!

Aaaah parent dances! They get me … esp now that we have two kids, so happy I have the best excuse to have a camera in front of my face, haha!

Hugs, hugs, and more hugs! This couple is loved and they know how to party! Huge props to Mike Amado from Entertainment Specialists to make the night unforgettable!

I LOVE this venue!

What a wedding, what a couple! Tara and John, I hope you guys had a woonderful honeymoon in Jamaica!! :o)

Kennedy, 9 months old

I seriously can’t believe how fast time just flew by! I’ve seen this girl pretty much every 3 months since she was born, and next time I see her she’ll be celebrating her first birthday, WOW! This post will be HUGE. YES! I could post fewer photos … but how does one just choose favorites from such a cute set?? Soooo many smiles, she really couldn’t have been a happier baby!

Enjoy :o)

This girl is oooon the move!! :o)

Look at her two teeth!! Sooo cute!! :o))

Sweetest foot-lover I know :o))

Oh, “hi” :o))

And a few with mommy & daddy :o)

Thanks for coming by! I am already looking forward to seeing you guys!!!! <3

Anya’s Second Birthday (Tea) Party

Oh my am I late with this post! I was soooo excited to share all the photos but boy, chasing two kids around sure keeps me on my toes … ok, Amelia doesn’t run away from me YET, haha … but sure keeps me busy :o))

Soooo, here they FINALLY are! Photos from my sweet Anya’s second birthday party :o) Loved how everything came together. She loves (and I mean LOVES!) playing tea party, so the theme was a no brainer, ha! :o)) We just had to invite some dear family members, friends and … uhm … could of course not forget her monkey :o)) I tries to keep it sweet & simple with some nice tea party touches without going over board with the “theme” :o) She definitely had a blast at our pre-birthday shoot, haha and loved all the tasty cookies and cupcakes :o)

A very happy birthday to my little girl! I can’t believe you are already two!

I call Anya “Spatz” a lot, which means “little bird / sparrow” in Swiss German, so I tried to include little birdies in the set-up too :o)

My cutie:

She loooves pouring tea :o))

Probably my favorite photo of the set :o)) Love her little eyebrows in this one :o)) She wanted to share her cookie with the birdies, haha! Love this girl :o)I just love her so much! <3And a few party photos before everybody got there :o)

Made the little cork-thingies myself, it was an easy DIY, just needed some pearls and some lace :o) Oh and I hang some pear strands off our lamp (to help showcase the cake a bit), loved how it turned out :o)

I made most of the sweets myself, you can find some of the recipes here: Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries, Chocolate Bark (with cranberries)

Thought I’d incorporate some of Anya’s photos also … just picket up some frames from Michael’s and spry painted them .. and voila :o)

Oh, … and I made some birdies also, haha .. that was quite a project, but I think they came out quite cute :o)

Don’t have an English version of the almond-moons … but let me tell you, they are taaaasty! :o)

Oh … the little plates were a DIY project also, they’re basically old vintage plates on handleholders. Easy, fun and oh so pretty!

Loved the dollies also :o)

I wasn’t too happy with the decoration of Anya’s first birthday cake, so I thought I’d do it myself this year :o))

Let me tell you, the chocolate covered kiwi-kisses were quite the hit! You gotta try making them sometime! YUM! And look at the watermelon hearts :o) I’m getting hungry, haha!

Oh … made a little banner too … :o)

Check out the cookie plate :o)

Figured I’d try to find a way to incorporate some of Anya’s first words … she loved to make up words & names :o)

Oh, and while I was at it (ha!), I figured I’d also make a little wreath :o)

That’s it! :o) Awwww … TWO years already!! :o)
