Laurie & Ian • Engaged!

I haven’t been blogging any engagement photos recently, even though the fall is usually engagement season, there are just too many photos on my pile at the moment, and I don’t really get to share most of them :o)

But I photographer photographed 2 really fun engagement sessions last weekend, and though I should share :o) Both of them were taken at a beach a bit north of Boston, my favorite beach for e-sessions as you just can’t go wring with such a backdrop :o)

Meet Laurie & Ian. What a handsome couple you guys are! I hope you guys enjoy the teasers you’ll hopefully get to see your gallery tomorrow :o)

Kate & Ethan | Brookside Club

Kate & Ethan, you guys are such a wonderful couple. You did not let the rain ruin your day and it was such a joy to see the sparkles in  your eyes from the moment Kate walked down the isle with her dad, until we left the party. You guys are truly a perfect match and I *wish* we could have had sunshine, but I’m honestly not sure if the day could have been more perfect.

Thanks for letting us be part of your fun, funny & touching wedding day!

Kate & Ethan celebrated their ceremony at Saint John’s, in Pocasset and held their ceremony at the Brookside Club in Bourne.

Congrats to both of you! :o)

I hope you don’t mind me posting this photo, Kate … haha … This was Kate’s reaction when she had a first glimpse at the downpour outside … ;o)

Kate and Ethan were brave enough to try to fight the weather Gods and we drove to the Nobska Lighthouse for some group photos :o)

There was just no way that we could take any photos on the beautiful grounds of the Brookside Club, luckily they do have a nice big porch, our photo-saver of the day :o)

Can you tell that Kate has a love for dancing? The whole bridal party performed a dance right after they were introduced … haha, you guys are just the best!! :o)

“You wouldn’t dare to smear the cake all over my face, would you?” ….. goooood husband :o)

“But that doesn’t mean I can smear your piece all over your face, right? Hehe … not sure if the cake will fit in your mouth honey, say aaaahhhhhh“

Sacha & Larry | Bittersweet Farm

Katie & Bryan | Keene Country Club

What should I say, I kept checking the weather report for Katie’s & Bryan’s wedding (ok, I admit it, I check the weather report every day during the wedding season, I’m an addict and constantly worried), and it really broke my heart, but the forecast looked … well … bad. There was a hurricane warning on the coast, and every day I checked, all I saw were rain drops :o( Katie called me 2 days before to check and see what sort of back-up plan we could come up with, and it turned out we didn’t have to worry. I don’t think I felt one raindrop on me that day, and I can’t even tell you how happy I was for you guys!! :o) Getting married in such a pretty location, but having the weather turn against you is a weddingday-no-go, haha!! ;o)

Katie, first of all, I LOVED your shoes, and all your details and color scheme for your wedding. Everything looked SO pretty. The flowers turned out amazing, the venue was beautiful, and you guys are just one of the best couples!!

Congrats to both of you. I wish you both the very best, I really enjoyed working with you on your wedding day. And thanks also to your parents for the warm welcome into their home.

Yay!!! We are on the Cover of Bride & Groom!

I am so excited to finally share the news!!! We ended up on the cover of Bride & Groom magazine. They have a special about local engagements and Theona & Tony made it in! Hurray! :o)

Theona & Tony | Tower Hill, Botanic Garden

Theona, Tony & I have a bit of a history together. I photographed Tony’s sister’s wedding back in 2007 (boy, has it already been 2 years???). I think only a couple of weeks after Nicole’s & Jeb’s beautiful wedding I got a lovely email from Theona, and I was hoping it was the girl that I remembered dancing that whole night. Haha :o)

Then, last summer we had an awesome engagement session, and I already knew then that their wedding will be a LOT of fun to photograph, they’re just one of the sweetest, most caring couples. In addition to all that Theona is also a model, so what better bride to have? :o) Even the Bride & Groom Magazine was all over their engagement photos and they ended up on the cover of this season’s issue! How cool is that?

Theona & Tony celebrated both their outdoor ceremony & their reception at the beautiful Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston.

Thank you for sharing your very special day with us. Everything looked incredibly pretty (I loved everything, from the bouquets, place cards to the favors) we just had a blast the whole day!

My very best wishes for a wonderful future together … hope you guys are enjoying the Bahaaaaaaamas! :o)

Theona & Tony decided to do their posed photos before the ceremony, so we picked a pretty spot on the grounds where they would see each other for the first time.

There was no peeking allowed, haha … Theona was running to her groom :o) …

… and had the biiiigest smile when he turned around :o) Sooo cute!!! I love you guys, you are such a wonderful couple!

I could just keep going with photos of the 2 of them, but I guess this is just supposed to be a sneak peek ;o)

I love getting those wide angle ceremony shots. Nobody really ever gets to enjoy the overall picture the day off. This one is especially pretty, what a backdrop!

The perfect couple even gets a perfect ring shot:  :o)

Theona & Tony released butterflies. They were allll over the place, unfortunately you don’t see them unless you zoom into the photo, but here are a couple shots:

It was sooo nice seeing the Scola family again & meeting the Hardwoods :o) The photo on the right is for the good old times :o)

Since Theona’s mom’s side is from Hawai’i one of the aunts performed a Hawaiian dance for them:
